Overview
OTP Copenhagen is excited to announce minijobs & to-dos, a two-person exhibition by Astrid Kajsa Nylander and Julie Koldby opening at the gallery's Vester Farimagsagde 6 location on Friday 23 May 5–8PM.
The exhibition features new works from Nylander’s ‘minijobs’ series – shaped canvasses that depict enlarged buttons in the process of being threaded, referencing op art, domestic labour, collecting habits, and the erotic. Julie Koldby presents a series of new whiteboard paintings – stretched canvases that have been primed with an industrial whiteboard paint and then used as working surfaces (replete with to-do lists, notes to self and doodles) where function flips into space for abstract exploration.
Engaging with ideas relating to productivity, practice, gendered labour, cultural legacy and professionalism in the art world, the exhibition marks the first collaboration between both artists and the gallery. Please join us to celebrate.
